COMPREHENSIVE EXAM

After Dr. Dikla Chazbani review your x-rays, they will take a close look at your child's gums and teeth. If they notice any potential issues, they will help you and your child understand exactly what is going on, and how best to address it. It is our goal for your familt to stay informed so you can feel confident about making the right decision for your child's oral health.

Thorough Cleaning

Your dental hygienist will thoroughly clean your child's teeth, removing any plaque and tartar that may have accumulated. This includes flossing and scraping off plaque that has built up under the gum line with either water or an ultrasonic cleaner. Your child's teeth will be left feeling polished and refreshed.

NECESSARY X-RAYS

Depending on how long it’s been since your child's last dental x-rays, Dr. Dikla Chazbani may take new x-rays. Dental x-rays are a useful tool to help us detect problems that may not be visible to the naked eye. Dr. Dikla Chazbani will be able to see any problem areas such as cavities or infections, cracks in the tooth enamel, and make a recommendation from there.

Dr. Dikla Chazbani uses her compassion and expertise to make each visit, for every patient, a positive experience.

Dr. Chazbani has served as the Head of Pediatric Dentistry at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. She has more than ten years of experience, providing treatment to the greater community and specializing in higher-risk individuals. Dr. Chazbani has been responsible for the clinical oversight of both General and Pediatric Dental residents who train at the hospital. She also lectures regularly on current Pediatric Dentistry procedures and topics. She has supervised and trained dozens of Board Certified Pediatric Dentists.

Dr. Chazbani received her undergraduate degree from Queens College-CUNY, graduated with a DMD from Nova Southeastern University School of Dental Medicine, and completed her Pediatric Dental residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn. She has been a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist since 2008 and has been named a Fellow of the AAPD (American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry).

Dr. Blalock grew up on a beef cattle farm in Crossville, TN. The time he spent working on the farm taught Dr. Blalock valuable problem-solving skills and a good work ethic. After Dr. Blalock suffered a dental injury when a cow’s hoof contacted his teeth, his dentist repaired his smile and sparked a fascination for the art of dentistry. Because of that experience, Dr. Blalock realized his calling was to become a dentist. He loves that dental work gives him the ability to work creatively with his hands while interacting with patients and making a positive impact on their lives.

Dr. Blalock graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tennessee Tech University with an undergraduate degree in health science biology. He went on to graduate with honors from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry
